Artist Statement:
‘In response to a weekend spent in Daylesford of last year, the following works seek to address notions of living amongst scenery foreign to city living. The relationship between the house’s interior and its surrounding environment is therefore depicted, seeking to relay a softness that is more often than not lost in urban spaces. Although structures of man persist here, they by no means dominate the existing landscape. Instead, shots of the kitchen and living room form an accord with their surrounds- thereby resulting in a dialogue between the outside and inside spaces of Daylesford.’
